SYNOPSIS:

Please join us for our annual overview of trends in discovery and technology case law, emerging legislation & data driven implications.  This year’s presentation features an array of noteworthy metrics comparing 2023 to 2024 case law, a brief survey of selected cases about a range of new and familiar issues and ideas about the year ahead.  You will walk away with key take aways you can apply to your daily work right away to address various innovations and avoid some real hazards.

Thomas M. Barce Managing Director New Solutions, FTI Consulting

Tom Barce brings over 27 years of advisory experience in directing and managing innovations across the spectrum of digital risk, especially in information governance, data privacy, electronic discovery and litigation support. Mr. Barce delivers strategic vision, consultative services and project management expertise, with extensive experience in helping corporations and law firms manage their data-driven risks and objectives. He has assisted clients across a wide range of industries in the U.S. and internationally with implementing information governance programs, addressing data breaches, acting as an expert witness, responding to complex e-discovery demands, selecting and implementing strategic technology; leveraging AI, machine learning and predictive analytics; evaluating and overseeing third-party service providers; and conducting large and complex data migrations from disparate systems.  He now leads FTI Technology’s New Solutions Program, which is dedicated to delivering innovations that meet client’s most critical needs.
