SYNOPSIS:

Legal hold is most effective when it’s a connected business process and not a standalone legal task. In this session, we’ll explore a modern approach where matter, custodian, and preservation workflows are integrated across the legal tech ecosystem. We’ll cover ways to reduce “honor system” risk by syncing custodian status with systems of record, automating in-place preservation in Microsoft 365, and streamlining downstream collection. Attendees will learn how to reduce manual handoffs, minimize missed steps, and improve defensibility. You’ll leave with practical, tool-agnostic ideas for integrating your current tools and identifying quick wins to move toward a “legal hold at the center” workflow.
